Today I get to combine two of my favorite things into one post.
#1 I LOVE linky parties. # 2 I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Reagan from Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits.  She is one of my all time favorites
(click here to read my previous post).  So joining in on her Hall
Pass Linky Party was a NO BRAINER!!
This hall pass comes at a perfect time.  We are closing in fast on the 120th day of school so I love the idea of chilling out and taking a little timeout.  So let's get this party started.
This week I finished up my newest TPT Product ~ Shake-It and Make-It.  I've been doing these sheets with my class all year long but I finally put all the parts together into this set.
If you are looking for a fun way to teach your kids about decomposing numbers to 10 then this is the packet for you.  Here are some more pictures of some of the pages you will get in this set.
If you would like a chance to win this unit be sure to enter the rafflecopter below.
This is my favorite Area of my classroom my reading center.  I try to switch things out throughout the year with themed books, mini books, brochures, maps, cook books, whisper phones, board books, magazines, and holiday glasses.
I use lots of Signals in my class but this is one of my new finds.  If this is your product please let me know so that I can credit you because it is a LIFESAVER!!!!  I have this sign on my board under my center wheel as a reminder to my students.  At the beginning of the year I taught them this rule by holding up 3 fingers as my visual.  During workstations if someone came up to ask me a question about their task I would hold up 3 fingers to remind them of this rule.  9 times out of 10 they would return to their table and not come back because someone in their team helped them.
Besides all of my friends at work who help to keep me together, these are my Sanity.  I keep a pair of my old Nike flipflops under my table at school.  After school I will immediately put these on to rest my tired feet.  Sometimes I even wear them during my break when my kids are out of the room. . . shhhhh don't tell anyone.

There you have it a little glimpse into my world.  If you need a hall pass click here to join the party.  Well I'm off to do some blog hopping.  SHINE on everyone.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!  Today I'm linking up again with the super talented Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching for one of my favorite parties, Five for Friday.
Here is a sneak peek at what I have been up to this week.
Shhhh don't tell anyone but I just remembered to switch out the manipulatives in one of my math tubs.  I finally put away the winter counters and put out these fun hearts I found a month ago at the Dollar Tree.  Better late than never right???
I finished up a mini author study with my Kindergarteners on one of my favorite authors Kevin Henkes.  Time to start getting my big author study ready for the Dr. who's name shall not be spoken.
We had five minutes before dismissal so I had my Firsties pair up with a shoulder partner to go over some review words.
Another one of my FAVORITE bloggers the one and only Reagan from Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits is having a linky party called Hall Pass.  Bloggers share a Product, Area, Signal and Sanity idea.  I'm linking up my post on Saturday so I spent some time this week putting together a new TPT Product.  This is my Shake-It and Make-It packet.  I just started doing this with my kids this year and they LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it.
Here's another look at how this works in my class.  You can click here to download a preview of this fun packet in my TPT store.  If you check back on Saturday you will see a more detailed description of this product when I post to Reagan's Linky.  If you would like to win a copy of this packet, you can enter the rafflecopter below.

Well I'm off to procrastinate,

Happy day after Heart Day. I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day.  I'm looking forward to having time this LOOOONG weekend to do some blog hopping to check out what everyone has been up to.  I'm especially excited to see how everyone spent Valentine's Day so I decided to host a party to have all of our fun links in one place.
If you posted pictures of your Valentine's Day (from school or personal) then grab my button and link up to the party.

Speaking of parties. . . I am linking up with the super creative Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching for one of my new favorite parties Five for Friday.
So here are 5 of my Valentine's Day pictures.
The date on my red easel and the entrance to my classroom.
That's me on the right going for my "hot mess of an outfit" look.  Yes. . .I am wearing two different socks but my kids loved it.

When I opened up my Valentine's Day box to decorate my room I found this note that I left for myself last year.  I literally LOLed when I found it.  I remember last year at the end of the day when I was EXHAUSTED my volunteer and I brainstormed out this new plan.  I totally remember grabbing this lime green piece of construction paper and writing myself this note so that I wouldn't forget this year.  The P.S. part is my favorite.

I owe myself a HUGE thank you (go team me).   This idea worked like a CHARM.  My kids had their cards passed out in a record 15 minutes.  Seriously 15 minutes and they were done so we had plenty of time to chill out and enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

Dinner time at one of my favorite restaurants.  The garlic knots are over the top good.

There you have it some random pictures from my Valentine's Day.  If you want to link up with your pictures from Valentine's Day (PLEASE NOTE:  you can share as many pictures as you want), just grab my button and join in on the fun.  Well I'm off to eat my leftovers.
SHINE on everyone
Welcome to my 12 on the 12th Linky Party (February Edition).  Once again a special thank you to Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching for coming up with this great idea and for letting me carry on the tradition.
So here's a sneak peek at how I spent my day.
1. Usually I hit the snooze button until AT LEAST 6:10ish but this morning there was no time for snoozing.
2.  This is why I couldn't sleep in ~ I had to get my centers ready for today.
3. Look at this sweet card that was waiting on my desk first thing this morning from one of my former students ~ a Gator Valentine card. . . who could ask for anything more.
4.  I LOVE this anchor chart that my kinders helped me make a few weeks ago ~ we used it again today.
5.  A first grader and a kindergartener pair up and read to each other.  I wish we had time to do this everyday.
6.  After science time students had a few minutes before lunch so I let them pair up to play race to 100.
7.  Weekly sight word practice sheets ~ left side kindergarten, right side first grader.
8 & 9.  Workstation time.
10 & 11.  My friend and I were the last 2 cars in the parking lot so I swung by her room and made her leave with me.
12.  I COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!  All afternoon I kept hearing commercials for these new Fish McBites so I had to pop on in to try them.  I have to admit for $1.00 they are a fun little yummy snack.

So there you have it, 12 random pictures from my day.  Now it's your turn to join the party.  Remember to grab the picture from above and link up.  If you don't get to post on the 12th that's fine, feel free to come back and link up any time during the month.

Well I'm off to eat one (maybe two) of my chocolate chip cookies.  SHINE on everyone
WOW, February might be the shortest month in the year but whew is it BUSY.  I'm FINALLY taking a few minutes to link up with the one and only Farley for one of my favorite linky's.  So here is what I am currently up to.
Before I head out just a quick reminder. . . TUESDAY is the 12th of the month.  That means it's time to grab your cameras, take 12 random pictures of your day and then come back to link up with my 12 on the 12th Linky Party.
I will have the party posted by 6:00ish on the 12th each month.  If you can't post on the 12th, no worries, just come back and link up anytime during the month.  I can't wait to take a peek at your day.

Well, I'm off to do my interim reports.  SHINE on everyone
